A major road closure will impact travel if you are headed into Minneapolis Thursday night, or over the weekend.
Interstate 35W will close Thursday night into Friday morning and then again Friday night into Monday morning. According to the Minnesota Department of Transportion, I-35W will close in both directions between I-94 and Highway 62.
Thursday's closure runs from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. Friday while the second closure runs from 10 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday.
Crews will start closing ramps an hour before closing the interstate.
Detours include I-94, Interstate 394, Highway 100, and Highway 62.
