For the first time in its 38-year history, the Twin Cities Marathon has canceled events because of bad weather.
The annual event has a no-refund policy, but Twin Cities in Motion is offering a $10 credit for future events for runners who signed up for Saturday's races.
Still on is the health and fitness expo at the St. Paul Rivercentre complex.
Sunday's main marathon is expected to go off as scheduled, starting at US Bank Stadium in downtown Minneapolis and ending at the state capitol building.
Also expected to go on on Sunday is the 10-mile race.
In the past, races related to the Twin Cities Marathon have been shortened because of hot weather, but officials say they've never canceled races outright until now.
