The man who died during a June 18th standoff with police officers south of the Twin Cities has been identified.

The Ramsey County medical examiner says 21-year-old Jordan Michael Donahue of Saint Peter died in the incident. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension also released the names of officers who were involved in the confrontation.

Nicollet County sergeant Dustin Struckman and Saint Peter police officer Austin Buss both fired department-issued firearms at Donahue at an apartment complex following a chase with Mankato police officers.

According to the report, Donahue fired a shotgun at the officers, striking Buss in the arm, prompting the officers to return fire.

Other officers secured the home and attempted to get Donahue to surrender. After an extended period of time trying to contact Donahue, officers flew a drone into the home and discovered him deceased upstairs from a gunshot injury.

BCA crime scene personnel recovered a shotgun and spent casings from inside of the home. Body-worn cameras were in use and captured portions of this incident.

Struckman has 13 years of law enforcement experience, while Buss has eight years. Both are currently on leave.
