Minneapolis is preparing for another night of protests, looters and violence, while hoping that the extra law enforcement visible on the streets Thursday will not be necessary.
Police Chief Medaria Arradondo says Wednesday night's unrest was a setback his city most definitely didn't need.
"We can no longer have productive, real, genuine, and authentic conversations and actions about race relations, about race and policing, which I absolutely will continue to have and speak out on," Arrandondo says. "We can't have that when we have individuals who will try to hijack the narrative."

An 8:00p.m. curfew is planned in Downtown Minneapolis Thursday night. Wednesday night also saw a curfew inposed, prompted by the suicide of a suspect that some misconstrued as a police killing.
Minneapolis City Councilmember Lisa Goodman, summing up the frustration as once again more than 20 storefronts and restaurants are boarded up simply said, "Quite frankly, I am disgusted and my constituents are disgusted."
