A husband and wife from Hutchinson have been charged in a big drug bust, where authorities foun what appears to be a functioning cannon.

Agents from a drug task force raided the property, and arrested the couple —59-year old Brett and 56-year old Ramona Wakefield. They are now charged with multiple counts and remain jailed.

Authorities also recovered several shotguns, an AR-15 rifle, other guns, methamphetamine, marijuana, suspected LSD, a stun gun and more than $5,000 in cash.

Investigators say the task force had been working with a confidential informant who wore a wire during drug transactions.

The search warrant affidavit indicated this was at least the second rate on the property since 2006 when the couple was arrested, charged and convicted.
