St Paul's reported homicide count has risen to 30 after that city's latest shooting death.
It happened around 5:30 p.m. Thursday in a parking lot in the 200 block of State Street on the historic west side of St. Paul, not far from Holman Field Airport.

A man found there with a gunshot wound was later pronounced dead at Regions Hospital.
Soon after that discovery, a woman with a head injury was found about 3 miles away, near Jackson and Sycamore along with a crashed van.
The van's driver was arrested, and the woman was taken to the hospital
Police say both incidents could be connected.
