The Minnesota State Fair did not set an attendance record for Saturday... but the crowd was still pretty big.

The official count announced Sunday afternoon: 209,105.

That's about 11,000 fewer than the all-time record for the first Saturday of the fair, set a year ago.

The fair had us in an upside-down-uncontrollable-laughing kinda mood yesterday thanks to the 209,105 people who attended! ----: hann_moore_The daily attendance announcement is proudly sponsored by @MN2020Census and We Count Minnesota. pic.twitter.com/5emAahydS8

It also brings the grand total for the first three days of the 2019 state fair to 499,655.

Attendance figures for Sunday are announced Monday afternoon.

With a weather forecast that calls for high temperatures in the 70's, there's a good chance the Minnesota State Fair will surpass 2 million for the second straight year.
