Winter weather advisories and winter storm watches are already announced for portions of western Minnesota ahead of a system expect to begin late Thursday evening.

There is some good news looking ahead to the weekend in the Twin Cities. Temperatures are forecasted to return to the upper 40s on Saturday, upper 50s on Sunday, and lower 60s by Monday.
