February 20, 2019 Coyle, a native of Weymouth, Massachusetts, has scored 91 goals in 479 games since joining the Wild in 2012. He was originally drafted by the San Jose Sharks, but sent to the Wild in a trade for defenseman Brent Burns.
The Wild are struggling, losing their last five games. The team traded Nino Niederreiter to Carolina in January, and then earlier this month, lost team captain Mikko Koivu for the season with an injury.
