St. Paul police have made an arrest in a Friday afternoon shooting death, just after a second reported homicide happens in the city in less than 24 hours.
A man was found shot to death early Saturday morning outside Johnny Baby's Bar on University Avenue, two blocks east of Lexington Parkway.
The call came in at 2:00 a.m, and emergency crews were unable to revive the man.
It's the ninth reported homicide in St. Paul in 2019.

St. Paul police sergeant Mike Ernster said Johnny Baby's is a place well known to officers.
"Our officers in this establishment have done 220 proactice police visits," he said. "So, it's very frustrating, they've done a lot of work. Officers have been out there trying to make those connections and trying to get ahead of this.
Ernster says so far, only one person has come forward with information related to the shooting outside Johnny Baby's Bar.
"There was more people out there than jsut that one person who's willing to talk with us,"said Ernster. "We need those people to come to us, work with us, so we can hold the person that's responsible for this crime, and get them in custody."
The arrest in the Friday afternoon shooting came about 12 hours after that call first came from the 400 block of Maryland Avenue North.
Police report Lavelle Darvon Brown, 27, of St. Paul, was booked into the Ramsey County jail early Saturday morning on suspicion of murder.
Names of the two victims are not released.
In Minnepolis, there are no arrests in the shooting death of a 26-year-old St. Paul man who was found fatally wounded early Friday in the downtown area.
The Hennepin County medical examiner identified the victim as Artrell Tevin Pritchard.
That is the eighth reported homicide this year in Minneapolis.
