Gracie Stockton joined WCCO Radio in July 2026. Previously, she produced Morning Edition at Minnesota Public Radio News and filled in on-air, including anchoring the initial coverage of the Hortmans’ assassination in 2025.
She was formerly a TV news producer at WCCO/CBS News Minnesota mornings, and at KSTP-TV mornings and midday, where she also began her postgraduate career as an assignment editor/digital producer.
Prior to broadcast, Gracie was part of a team at APM Reports investigating voting concerns during the 2020 election and changes in law enforcement deescalation training in 2021. She also interned at the Minnesota Reformer and Minnesota PGA.
Gracie is a Chicagoland native. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and theatre arts and a minor in Russian, and she completed her honors thesis at the Hubbard School of Journalism and Mass Communication – where she met her two best friends.
Gracie and her dog Riley live in St. Paul. Her family is spread all across the country, from California to D.C. Outside of the newsroom, she enjoys reading, painting, hockey, gardening and collecting houseplants. Gracie also likes a good trip to the dog park with two- and four-legged friends, followed by a local cider or gluten free beer. She’d love to know your theatrical, camping spot and rockhounding recommendations.
