Many Minnesotans can’t afford their lives right now. With costs for housing, energy, and healthcare soaring, household food budgets are among the first things to be cut.
Grocery prices are up almost 30% in 5 years, making it hard for families to keep their fridges full this winter.
As we see cuts to federal programs like SNAP and more visitors to food shelves, Second Harvest Heartland and the entire hunger-relief system are working hard to meet the moment.
Our neighbors need your support right now to keep food on the table this winter.
- Second Harvest Heartland can turn $1 into 3 meals.
-A monthly gift of $10 can provide 360 meals in a year!
Second Harvest Heartland is a leading hunger-relief organization. In partnership with more than 1,000 food shelves and hunger-relief programs in Minnesota and western Wisconsin, we provided 143 million meals to neighbors last year. We also help families enroll in food assistance and provide prepared meals for people who need more than groceries. Second Harvest Heartland is a leader, convener and voice in hunger-related policy discussions.
