Until COVID is brought under control, all we can do is hope and dream about live sporting events. But we'll have some good ones to look forward to here in Minnesota, especially if you are a fan of college hockey.
The NCAA is announcing that both the men's and women's Frozen Fours will be in the Twin Cities, the men at the Xcel Energy Center in 2024, and the women at Ridder Arena in 2025.
Also, the NCAA announced that the 2023 men's swimming and diving championships will be on the U of M campus. This is in addition to the 2021 NCAA Men's Gymnastics Championships at the U of M, in cruel irony as Gopher men's gymnastics is being eliminated.
The Target Center is scheduled to hold a regional in next March's NCAA men's basketball tournament, and then it will host the Women's Final Four in 2022.
