Despite the Twins having a disappointing end to their season, there is one bright spot, Luis Arraez has all but won the American League batting title.

Arraez enters game 162 with a batting average of .315 as his primary opponent for the title, Yankees slugger Aaron Judge, has decided to sit for the final game of the season.

Arraez hit a double Wednesday against the White Sox to raise his average to .316. Baldelli then removed Arraez from the game where he was congratulated by his teammates.

Judge needed to go at least 3-for-4 to win the title, being that Arraez had an off night not collecting a hit, but now the Twins slugger can enjoy his final game with the victory secured.

The Twins infielder has been fighting a hamstring injury throughout the second half of the season, holding him out of games on Sunday and Monday.

But now, Arraez joins an exclusive list of Twins to win the honors, joining one-time batting champ Kirby Pucket, three-time champs Joe Mauer and Tony Oliva, and seven-time champ Rod Carew.

In 143 games this year, Arraez has collected 173 hits, 49 RBIs, and eight home runs, all career highs for the fourth-year-Twin.
