Twins new food and beverages include plenty of value options, and gluten free and vegan snacks

A highlight of the Twins in 2026 are their "happy hours" which include $2 beers, hot dogs and other snacks leading up to game time.

It's a yearly rite of passage - baseball's home opener. And that comes with a preview of all that is new, tasty, and ready for your enjoyment at Target Field.

Tuesday, the Minnesota Twins unveiled the new offerings and features at the ballpark ahead of 2026.

It starts with value. Long an expensive proposition to feed the family, ballpark food will come with some options in 2026 the team will draw more people to games, and even pregame happy hours.

Debuting this year, the Twins’ pregame happy hour features food and beverage deals and live music from the time gates open through scheduled first pitch on Fridays and Saturday. That means $2 beers and $2 food. Those two-buck beers include 12-ounce cans of Bud, Bud Light and Summit Twins Pils. Food options include hot dogs and various ballpark snacks.

All $2 food and beverage items are available at select concession stands located throughout Target Field from 1:00-3:10 p.m ahead of the home opener this Friday and throughout the season.

Delaware North General Manager, Pete Spike, the Twins in-house catering company, tells WCCO that one of their challenges each year is to keep up with changing tastes, and changing trends.

He says it starts with beverage options.

"Trends are somewhat lagging when it comes to a ballpark experience," Spike said. "So part of our job is to see is it truly a trend or is it a fad, right? Looking to see what's worked over the last couple of years and what maybe has made its way into the mainstream, then we try to adapt."

One of those things is around the mocktail component and the non-alcoholic offerings in the ballpark.

"So we did introduce boba teas last year, which have been a mall favorite for the young kids that are now becoming of age to be able to come and enjoy a game," Spike adds. "So working with a Niko Niko Boba last year. And now coming into this year, dirty sodas has become a big phase. So bringing that dirty soda into their concept to allow us to work within the infrastructure. But then we also have an adult group that likes to be creative and maybe expand their horizons and so there's a boozy boba option. So why not take those younger kids that love boba that are now 21 and older that maybe want to try it with a tequila or a vodka, and so we're having that."

When it comes to food, Spike says it's important to them, and the Twins, to keep all things accessible no matter what the dietary restrictions fans have.

"The other is just the dietary piece, good, bad or indifferent, we do have a part of society now that is is struggling with with a wheat or a gluten intolerance," says Spike. "But also people are making that lifestyle choice to move away from from wheat or gluten. So now we thought it would be a good time for us to maybe get a dedicated location versus just having a 'you can go here for a gluten-free option, or here for an option.' Now that we have something like the No Gluten Way, you can go to a location and feel safe that it's all gluten-free at that space. You'll be able to get a really good burger and a really good hot dog, or you can get snacks and beverages, adult or younger, along with a local bakery that we've been able to partner with to provide a sweet treat."

Also brand-new for the Twins this season is a remade and remodeled Champions Club. The 430-seat luxury section 50 feet behind home plate got a $5 million upgrade, with new concessions equipment, furniture and floors. The more opened-up area will also create additional indoor seating.
