The man in charge of COVID protection for the Minnesota Vikings says players, coaches and staff will return to their training facility tomorrow. This after the team was forced to leave TCO Performance Center Tuesday when it was reported that several members of the Tennessee Titans organization tested positive for the coronavirus.

The Titans were in Minneapolis Sunday to play the Vikings.

Vikings head trainer Eric Sugarman says there are still zero positive cases from the most recent testing.

"We did have a few moderate risk contacts (with the Titans) that happened pregame, postgame," Sugarman said. "We're all clear from that standpoint."

Sugarman went on to not that there are no documented cases of exposure through sports yet.

"Quite honestly this is a case study. This is the first time this has happened.  We have a known positive case that played in a game, and I think everyone is interested to see what's going to happen if anything."

Sugarman says everyone will return to the training facility Thursday with enhanced efforts and health screening.

As for disadvantages of losing practice days, Vikings General Manager Rick Spielman says it is what it is.

"I know we are scheduled to play on Sunday, and our main focus is on getting this team ready to play. If we can get a full days practice in tomorrow, Friday, a knockdown version of a Friday practice potentially on Saturday before we get on the plane," Spielman said. "We're not looking at any excuses to make."

This is the latest setback for the Vikings, who are off to a disappointing 0-3 start.

Spielman says as of now, they are still scheduled to play the Houston Texans in Houston Sunday at noon.

The Titans next match-up with the Pittsburgh Steelers is being moved to either Monday or Tuesday, the NFL announced today.
