While high school and youth sports will be put on hold , the University of Minnesota men's basketball team is pushing ahead with a season.
The schedule for the Gophers was released today.
Head coach Richard Pitino says the University of Minnesota ANDand the Big 10 have COVID-19 measures in place that he feels confident about.
"We've got really good people at the U who tell us what the protocols are," Pitino told WCCO's Mike Max Wednesday. "For the Big 10, we have a daily antigen testing that helps in the sense of, if one guy get's (COVID), that doesn't mean the whole program has to shut down for two weeks."
The Gopher men are scheduled to host UW-Green Bay next Wednesday at Williams Arena. They are scheduled to open their Big 10 season December 15th at Illinois.
