It looks like fans attending tonight's Timberwolves game are in for an extra special treat.
"How would you feel if Anthony Edwards' dog, Ant Junior, came to a basketball game?"
That's Anthony Edwards' best friend Nick Maddox talking with folks at Target Center about the superstar's dog, "Ant Junior," making an appearance at tonight's game.
Ant Junior is a social media star in his own right and has been working diligently with the Wolves to finally make his debut on the court.
Ant Junior is a bulldog, a very fitting mascot for the Timberwolves young star who played collegiately and is from Georgia. Those bulldogs also have a live mascot named UGA, of course.
It's definitely not the first time Ant Junior has made his way into the spotlight. The dog "picked" a Final Four of Tennessee, UConn, Houston and North Carolina on this year's March Madness bracket and has a solid following of 24,000 fans on Instagram and 22,000 on X (formerly Twitter).
The Timberwolves host the Nuggets in Game 3 of the Western Conference Semifinals Friday night at Target Center. The Wolves hold a 2-0 lead in the series and are expecting a sold out, raucous crowd as they try to put a stranglehold on the Nuggets in the series.
