Some concerning news for the Minnesota Timberwolves who face the Denver Nuggets Monday night in game two of their first-round playoff series. The Nuggets are already up 1-0 after winning Saturday afternoon.

Wolves star Anthony Edwards is officially listed as questionable due to right knee injury maintenance. Be was also listed as questionable prior to game one before being cleared to play.

Edwards ended up scoring 22 points in 38 minutes of work despite not quite looking like himself throughout the entire game.

His official status will be announced prior to tipoff in Denver.

Head coach Chris Finch, despite Edwards not seemingly playing his normal game, is confident his team can figure out a way to win game 2 anyway.

"We're experiencing in the playoffs. You know, we expect a long series," Finch said. "Road team losing game one on the road is nothing to really worry about as long as you come out with the right mindset and approach and are sharp. Everything flips when you win game two and on goes the series. So, I would expect our guys to be confident. They're a good team and they're good players."

Veteran point guard Mike Conley also knows there's a long way to go.

"We have a lot of guys on the floor that we trust with the ball, a lot of guys we trust to make the right decisions and make plays," Conley explains. "And we have to utilize everybody out there. So we can't just play one side of the floor and have to settle for tough shots. We have more than capable bodies to go out there and move the ball around and allow other guys to make plays for people."

Minnesota Timberwolves at Denver Nuggets

When/Where to Watch: Game 2, 9:30 p.m. (NBC/Peacock)

Series: Nuggets lead, 1-0.

Betting line: Nuggets by 6.5.

What to Know: No teams have faced off in more playoff games than these two have since the start of the 2023 postseason; Denver is 8-5 in 13 playoff tilts vs. Minnesota in that span, with the combined score of those contests being Nuggets 1,370, Timberwolves 1,351. Game 1 of this matchup did nothing to suggest that another long series between these rivals isn't on the way. Denver had a big edge in free throws attempted (33-19) in Game 1 and Nuggets guard Jamal Murray was 16 for 16 from the line (the most free throws without a miss in a playoff game since 2021). Anthony Edwards took 19 shots in Game 1 for Minnesota, and against a high-octane team like Denver the Wolves might be wondering if he needs to take more.
