NBA fines D’Angelo Russell for the use of inappropriate language

The National Basketball Association announced that it has fined Minnesota Timberwolves guard D’Angelo Russell $20,000 after he used inappropriate language with a game official.

The incident took place during the Timberwolves’ loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday at the Target Center.

Executive Vice President Joe Dumars announced the fine for Russell, who is averaging 15 points and almost 7 assists for the Wolves this season.

The Wolves currently sit at 11-12 on the season and in 11th place in the Western Conference. In their last 10 games they are 6-4.

Their next game is on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. when they take on the Indiana Pacers in Minneapolis.
