The latest round of winter weather is expected to drop up to four inches of snow in the Twin Cities starting Tuesday afternoon into early Wednesday morning.
The National Weather Service in Chanhassen issued a Winter Weather Advisory beginning at 9 a.m. Tuesday through 3 a.m. Wednesday.
Blizzard-like conditions that hit Minnesota days before Christmas are not expected to be a factor with the latest band of snow.
Looks like 3 or 4” for most of the metro with an outside shot at 5” in a few spots by Wednesday morning. My advice to snow fans is to get out and play in the powder by Sunday - an extended January thaw next week will leave snow a bit mushy. https://t.co/tnhp3pQYrK

However, road conditions could become difficult to navigate as the snow picks up into the afternoon.
