The seemingly endless construction plan that revamped Interstate 35W south of downtown Minneapolis is coming to an end.
The last major closure of the project runs through early Monday morning, with the interstate closed in both directions between Interstate 94 and the Highway 62 Crosstown Expressway.
The final parts of the five-stage rebuilding of 35W is expected to wrap up by the end of the summer.
MinDOT's goal for the $239 million project is to have the interstate fully open on September 10th.
