The 52nd annual Twin Cities Auto Show kicks off in Downtown Minneapolis starting this Friday and running through Saturday, April 19.

The event is expected to feature new electric vehicles, classic cars, and a live demonstration on an obstacle course for Jeeps.

Twin Cities Auto Show President Scott Lambert says there's something for the whole family.

"We have a lot of family friendly activities," Lambert says. "We will have vehicles straight from comic books, movies and TV shows, Batmobiles, Dick Tracy cars, things like that, dedicated in a room on the second Saturday. Kids who wear a costume, who wear a superhero costume, will get a free prize. So it's going to be a lot of fun."

This marks the event's third year back at the Minneapolis Convention Center after the event had to move due to the pandemic.

What can visitors expect?

"The show reflects the Twin Cities' vehicle market, so you're gonna find a lot of trucks because Minnesotans buy a lot of trucks," explains Lambert. "You'll see a few EVs will be around. EV market right now is at about 6%. There's also a very large luxury market in the Twin Cities, so we have a room dedicated to a luxury vehicles which I expect to be very popular."
