One man is dead are there are no arrests following a shooting Sunday afternoon in north Minneapolis.
MPD responded to a ShotSpotter activation on the 3600 block of Fremont Avenue North at 1:18 p.m. Sunday, and were later notified that the gunshot victim from that area had died after being taken to North Memorial Hospital.
Police believe the shooter and victim knew each other and that it was an isolated incident.
The victim's name is not released.
Authorities say this is the 79th reported homicide of the year in Minneapolis.
