Count 'em... 80 inches.
That's how much snow has accumulated this winter season in the Twin Cities metro area.
That's as tall as Timberwolves forward Nathan Knight.
It's about the distance the Vikings would face on a fourth-and-two.
The milestone was recorded at midnight Saturday night, with trace amounts falling early Sunday morning.
And, according to the forecast, more is coming.
"Attention turns to a potential system later in the week," said National Weather Service forecaster Melissa Dye, speaking Sunda morning from their bureau in Chanhassen. "There's still a lot of unknows about that one at this point."
For now, the winter of 2022-23 stands as the eighth-snowiest in the Twin Cities since records have been kept.
Another five inches could push this winter into the top five of all time.
"Yes, it's definately been a very busy winter for us," said Dye. "I think we're all about ready to be done with it and move on to some spring weather."
The spring equinox happens a week from Monday, at 4:24 in the afternoon of March 20.
