
It's happened again.
Another small child has been struck by gunfire in Minneapolis.
The most recent happening last night in the 3500 block of Penn Avenue North, where a six-year-old girl was shot in the head.
Minneapolis police say the girl was riding in a car when shots rang out, one of the bullets hitting her.
A man was wounded in that incident, and he was taken to North Memorial Hospital.
The girl was transported to HCMC.
Both the man and the girl are reported in critical condition.
Local activist Kay G. Wilson confirms on his Facebook page that it was his granddaughter.

She is the third child shot in the last three weeks in Minneapolis.
The other two remain hospitalized in very serious condition.

Police say 9-year-old Trinity Ottoson-Smith remains in critical condition after being shot in the head Saturday night while bouncing on a trampoline in the Jordan neighborhood.
Two weeks ago, 10-year-old Ladavionne Garrett Jr., was shot while riding in a vehicle in Minneapolis.
Garrett remains in the same hospital in critical condition.
