Part of Calvary’s former building has been transformed into a new apartment building.

The Belfry Apartments will serve low income families with 15 units being specially reserved for the homeless and those with disabilities.

Vice President of Housing Development Dan Walsh says their relationship with church leaders, who will still occupy part of the building, made this project possible.

"Our goal, was a balance between spaces that are warm and inviting for residents, and that draw the neighborhood in, and balance sacredness with homey comfort," Walsh said.

While the building leased up all 41 units shortly after construction was finished, the waiting list for openings is eighty-eight names and growing.
