After taking a trip to the Big Apple in November, the "big cherry" is set to return to its home in the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden on February 18.
The Cherry, which is part of the Spoonbridge and Cherry exhibit, was sent to Fine Art Finishes in New York City where it received a fresh coat of paint.
According to the Walker Art Center, the fresh coat of paint is needed about every 10 years.
It's not the first time the cherry has needed paint. According to records, the 1,200-pound metallic fruit was last painted in 2009 by a coating facility in Hugo.
