The body of a man who disappeared while kayaking on a lake in south central Minnesota has been recovered.
39-year-old Shane White of Overland Park, Kansas was reported missing after he failed to return from a late night of kayaking Saturday on Nest Lake near Spicer, Minnesota.
His kayak was found the next day but authorities did not find White until body was recovered from the lake's southwest side on Tuesday. Divers found a body on the southwest side of Nest Lake in 11 feet of water about 264 yards from shore, the sheriff's office said.
The Midwest Medical Examiner's Office will perform an autopsy and to positively identify the body.
The sheriff's office is investigating.
Meanwhile, the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office has issued a warning for those getting out on the water in May. They say the water has not caught up to air temperatures yet, and that cold water can quickly lead to hypothermia.
