UPDATE (2:59PM): A 1-year-old boy that was inside a car that was stolen in north Minneapolis on Saturday has been found and the Amber Alert that followed has been canceled.

The car and the boy were taken at 12:17 p.m. from the 4200 block of Humboldt Avenue north.
Shortly before 3 p.m. the Minnesota BCA confirmed the boy had been found safe in Brooklyn Center.

Minneapolis police say the vehicle is described as a white 2005 Grand Cherokee with the Minnesota registration CRY 661.


"We are utilizing every resource available to the Minneapolis Police Department including law enforcement partners," said John Elder, the Director of Police Information. "The Minnesota State Patrol is using their helicopters to help locate the vehicle."
