A crash on Interstate 35 southbound has closed the freeway to all traffic except emergency vehicles between Exit 66: Millersburg Boulevard and MN 21 (Faribault).
The road is closed to all traffic for now and MnDOT is asking drivers to look out for the crash and use a detour where possible.
They are saying drivers should expect long delays until at least 4:00 PM Wednesday.
Traffic is currently backed up for several miles in each direction. There are also major slowdowns on nearby Highway 3 due to overflow traffic from the detour.
