Democratic incumbent Ilhan Omar has won her second campaign for reelection in Minnesota Congressional District 5, taking down Republican challenger Cicely Davis.

Omar first won her seat in 2018, taking over, for now, Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison.

During her first four years in office, Omar has made a name for herself in Washington, including her well-known team-up with “The Squad.” A team that includes fellow congress members Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.), and Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.).

Omar was seen as the clear favorite heading into her race with Davis, who had not previously held political office. Omar will now be a part of her squad and the US House of Representatives for another two years.
