Early voting centers were consistently busy across the metro Monday, the day before Election Day, as voters scrambled to cast their ballot.
WCCO's Sloane Martin reports from Richfield City Hall:

In the early evening at Richfield City Hall on Portland Avenue, the line extended at least a city block. From snaking inside the municipal voting center, to a couple dozen outside, it was all to be able to assuredly vote in the general election. Some cars were forced to circle the parking lot multiple times, and so with pulled up hoods, fresh off a workday, they waited, some up to an hour and a half.

Some people were forced to skip the line due to plans but vowed they’d be back bright and early. Others came to drop off their mail-in ballot at the urging of their family members.

In Richfield, they were down to two workers processing each voter. Elections officials told folks in the line that they expect it to be quicker and smoother tomorrow with 5 poll workers processing voters at each location.

Folks are motivated, but they are anxious.

"I see all the businesses are boarding up and that makes me nervous," Sherry Petterson said. "I have a son who lives in Uptown. It's a nervous time. I'm 63 and I've never been quite this nervous."

Everyone who was in line as of 5 p.m. was able to finish out the line to submit their ballot, just like election day. Polls are open tomorrow from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. tomorrow.

And if you’re worried your mail-in ballot will not be received on time, you can still walk-in and vote in-person at your polling place. The mail-in ballot because it has your personal information, will be thrown out.
