
Results were slow to roll in from Minnesota on Election night with eight U.S. Congressional seats up for grabs in the state. Here is the latest:
Congressional District 7
The Associated Pres has called CD7 for Republican incumbent Michelle Fischbach. The heavily Republican district voted strongly for Fischbach over DFL challenger AJ (John) Peters.
Congressional District 5
Democrat Ilhan Omar wins in CD5, beating challenger Dalia Al-Aqidi. Omar wins handily with over 75% of the vote.
Congressional District 1
Republican Brad Finstad will return to the U.S House of Representatives. He defeated DFL challenger Rachel Bohman in CD1.
Congressional District 2
In what was expected to be Minnesota's closest Congressional race, Democrat Angie Craig easily wins re-election holding off GOP challenger Joe Teirab.
Congressional District 3
Democrat Kelly Morrison will win Minnesota's 3rd District, replacing Dean Phillips (D) who decided not to run for re-election. She defeats Republican Tad Jude.
Congressional District 8
Republican Pete Stauber will continue to represent Minnesota's 8th. He defeats Democrat Jen Schultz in runaway fashion.
Congressional District 6
Republican Tom Emmer will win in Minnesota's 6th District. Emmer, who's also the House Majority Whip, defeats Democrat Jeanne Hendricks.
Congressional District 4
Democrat Betty McCollum has been re-elected in the 4th defeating Republican challenger May Lor Xiong by a significant margin, taking over 67% of the vote.
