One of rock music's biggest stars, and biggest activists, it bringing a special daytime show to First Ave in downtown Minneapolis.
Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello is bringing a "Concert of Solidarity and Resistance To Defend Minnesota!"
Morello and his new band, Rise Against, to Minneapolis with Al Di Meola, Ike Reilly - and what they are calling a "Very Special Guest."
Who that special guest might be is the focus of a lot of internet rumors, mostly focused on Bruce Springsteen.
On Wednesday, "The Boss" released a new protest song, "Streets of Minneapolis." Springsteen called it a response to the "state terror being visited on the city."
Tickets for the Friday show, which is at noon, are now on sale. Expect a very fast sellout for the famous club, however.
All proceeds will benefit the families of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.
The event coincides with a planned national strike and protest against the presence of ICE and other federal agencies in Minnesota.
First Ave also announcing another upcoming benefit show to support, Direct Support, Carbon Sound, KFAI, and KRSM present: 𝗜𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 — 𝗔 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗖𝗟𝗨-𝗠𝗡, featuring Cristian Baca, Gustavo Villegas, DJ Mickey Breeze, Lady Midnight, and Jada at the Fine Line on February 5.
