If you're a fan of old radio plays, you won't want to miss a special star-studded event at the Pavek Museum in St. Louis Park Friday night.
The play, "A Minnesota Frankenstein", will feature the best of the best in broadcasting including former WCCO Radio legend Tim Russell.
"It's gonna be a lot of fun because, Dave has taken some of the reference points to the Upper Midwest, basically Northern Minnesota," says Russell.
Longtime host of the WCCO Morning News, Dave Lee, wrote the play. Russell says there will be an interesting cast of characters.
"We're gonna have a panoply of accents," laughed Russell. "Let me put it that way. We have a southern sheriff, we've got a Scottish captain. We've got Dave Lee doing Lars, oh, yeah you betcha."
Russell and former WCCO Radio host and TV anchor Don Shelby talked about the show with Vineeta Sawkar.
"Pavek After Dark: A Minnesota Frankenstein" is a live radio play by members of the MN Broadcasters Hall of Fame, accompanied by a silent auction benefiting the Pavek Museum. Registration and the silent auction begins at 6:00 p.m. and the show is at 7:00 p.m. Get more information here.
