Governor Tim Walz released a new video on Twitter urging Minnesotan's to vote this year. He also brought along a few friends to help get the message across.
Governor Walz, joined by former Governors Dayton, Pawlenty and Ventura, sat down to explain why this election season is important. The video centers around one message that continues with lines from all four Governors.
"While we may not agree on every issue," Governor Dayton started. "We all agree that this election is the most important election of our lifetime," Governor Ventura continued.
The video continued to highlight the precautions the state has taken to make sure voters are safe at the polls and that their votes are counted. The video also helps explain why there may not be a winner called in come races on election night because of the multitude of mail-in ballots. But the four Governors assure that every ballot will be counted.
The video ends with the Governor's asking for peace no matter who wins the 2020 election.
"No matter who wins, let's demonstrate the civility and decency that Minnesotan's are known for," said Governor Pawlenty. "There is so much more that unites us rather than divides us," Governor Walz continued. "Let's show the country a better way," Governor Ventura ended.
