A reported threat to school safety has canceled classes and activities Wednesday at Fridley Public Schools.
The threat was made via Snapchat according to Superintendent Brenda Lewis.
In a letter sent to families, the district wrote, "We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause our families. We also encourage everyone to continue speaking up if they see or hear anything that could represent a potential school safety issue."
Secondary afterschool activities and evening meetings/rentals were canceled Tuesday night as a result of the reported threat.
Police and school resource officers are investigating the threat.
