There's a new member of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz' household in St. Paul these days.
"We adopted from the Humane Society a cute little kitty named Honey and she is living in this big house now," says the governor. "So it's pretty fun and it sleeps under the Christmas tree. It's pretty cute."
Walz told Tom Hauser on the WCCO Morning News Thursday they decided to adopt a cat after their previous cat, Afton, ran off earlier this Fall and has not returned home.
Honey joins Scout the black lab, who Walz says keeps the family on their toes.
"In harmony, somewhat," jokes Walz. "They're frien-imies so yeah, they're fine."
Most recently, Scout somehow locked himself in a bedroom and crews had to climb a ladder and go in through an upper story window to rescue him.
