It's day 4 of the Big 10 Women's Basketball Tournament and Iowa fans are everywhere.

There were more Hawkeyes fans watching the Maryland/Ohio State game than fans of those two teams.

"I expected there to be a lot, a lot, of fans today just because, as you can see, most of us are cheering for Maryland, not Ohio State," said one fan.

They've come out in droves and ready to spend money.

"They do like to drink their beer, yes," says Tom's Watch Bar's Amanda Neitzke. "Yes, they do spend and they're great people."

And not to beat a dead horse, but the Caitlin Clark effect is no joke.

Even a fan from Illinois came just to see the Hawkeyes play.

"Even men who may make fun of women's basketball are enjoying watching the game," they said.

Iowa Hawkeyes fans are everywhere and wearing their teams jersey's, logos, and anything else you can imagine. They're proud, they're loud and ready to buy even more memorabilia.

"We did a big purchase before we came here, some new Hawkeye gear before the event," said one Iowa fan. "But I'm sure if something comes up at the arena, for anything Hawkeye-related to the tournament, we'll definitely be in the market for that."

The Hawkeyes opened their Big Ten Tournament play Friday night with a 95-62 win over Penn State.

Next up is the Saturday night semifinal game against Michigan.

The games are sold out, the first time that's ever happened for a Big Ten Women's Tournament.

As typically happens with tournaments, as teams lose tickets will become more available if you want to try to get your way into Target Center and take on all of those Iowa fans.
