Far-right activist and pardoned-January 6th rioter Jake Lang is now accused of committing a bias crime in connection to an incident in St. Paul where he kicked over an ice sculpture on the steps of the Minnesota State Capitol in February.
It's the second felony charged filed against Lang.
There was an ice sculpture saying "Prosecute ICE" on the steps of the capitol, which Lang said he viewed as graffiti.
In a video posted on social media, Lang, whose real first name is Edward, was seen knocking down enough letters to make it look like the sculpture read "Pro-ICE."
The sculpture was sponsored by Veterans from Common Defense.
In March he pleaded not guilty to the first charge, setting up a July 27 trial date.
Earlier in January during the height of Operation Metro Surge, Lang staged an anti-Islam rally in downtown Minneapolis that drew far more opponents than supporters, and ended in Lang being bloodied and chased away.
Before his anti-Somali, anti-Islam demonstration, called the “March Against Minnesota Fraud,” Lang said on social media he intended to “burn a Quran” on the steps of City Hall.
