Lakeville teachers reached a contract agreement following a 12-hour negotiating session that ended overnight.
Education Minnesota called it a fair, two-year contract.
Union members now have to review the deal.
The ratification vote takes place next Monday and Tuesday.
This comes a week after the Lakeville teachers filed an intent to strike notice.
Had there not been an agreement, a teacher walkout in Lakeville could have started on Friday.
The key issues were salaries, class size, and the districts ability to transfer teachers at will.
The Lakeville teachers had been working without a contract for more than three-hundred days.
