Brooklyn Park police arrested a suspect who prompted a lockdown at Hennepin Technical College in Brooklyn Park Tuesday.
Brookliy Park Police Inspector Elliot Faust say the man is a suspect in an armed robbery that happened in the school parking lot.
"It was our understanding that there was a phone involved," Faust explained. "And so it just, preliminarily speaking, I think it was over a cell phone."
Faust says the man then fled into the school and was later found hiding in a restroom.
No one was injured. The lockdown remained in place while police swept the school. The man was taken into custody without incident and booked in jail.
