The 94th reported homicide Monday morning in south Minneapolis inched the city closer towards tying the grim record of 97 homicides reached in 1995.
In an email late Monday night, the Minneapolis Police Department reported that officers responded to a shooting at 11:40 a.m. on the 3700 block of Park Ave South. When officers arrived, they found an adult male dead from a gunshot wound.
Police booked a 15-year-old juvenile male into the Juvenile Detention Center on probable cause murder. They also determined the shooting was domestic-related.
So far they have not released the victim's name or cause of death.
