"We still need to make a decision. I'll offer to take the heat for that decision."

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey was heated in an interview with WCCO's Chad Hartman Friday, mincing no words when it comes to the 3rd police Precinct indecision, and his conflicting views with City Council Members who identify with the Democratic Socialists of America.

"They're anarchists," said Frey. "They want the government to shutdown. They want things to go haywire. That's not where we're at. We're trying to hold the city together, we're trying to move us in the right direction. With, yes, a progressive vision that is inclusive of everyone."

Frey also says members who had demanded explicit details on his choice of 2600 Minnehaha Avenue for the new 3rd Precinct Police Precinct are just trying to delay the process.

"I understand that it's uncomfortable, I understand a whole bunch of people will be pissed off no matter what you choose," said Mayor Frey. "We still need to make a decision. I'll offer to take the heat for that decision."

As for some members' demands regarding his proposed site, Frey says he'll be "spoon feeding" them all of the information they want within the next day or so.
