Now that there's ice on our lakes and ponds, many are dreaming of the day when it will be long gone.

An expected 30,000 people will attend this weekends 51st Annual Minneapolis Boat show at the Minneapolis Convention Center.

There are nearly 700 boats on display for you to dream about floating on across open water. And they range from small to big.

There's everything for everybody," says show manager Darren Envall. "You can start out with the standup paddle boards or kayaks. Goes up into the personal watercrafts, you have the fishing boats that are very affordable. Runabouts is a great family boat, along with pontoons and cruisers."

Tickets are $15 per day, but if you purchase them in advance from Minneapolis Boat Show's website, you can save $2.

Envall says he is already dreaming of sunshine and fishing as we battle yet another day with below zero wind chills.

"I'm thinking about May and the walleye opener, and Memorial Day and Fourth of July and everything in between," says Envall. "I can't wait to get on the water and spend time with family and friends."

The show starts today and runs through Sunday. Visit Minneapolis Boat Show's website for more information.
