Minneapolis police announcing arrests in connection to last week's violent crime spree in south Minneapolis.
Following a surveillance operation in the 2400 block of Bloomington Avenue Monday, police arrested a 34-year-old man, a 19-year-old man, and two 17-year-old boys.
It was last Tuesday when officers responded to six separate incidents including two shootings, two burglaries, a carjacking at gunpoint, and a shots-fired incident all within approximately two hours of one another.
One man was shot leaning out his window where he witnessed the group trying to break into a garage.
Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara called the incidents brazen.
"All of it is wrong for sure, but certainly, it generates a lot more fear in the community when it's just random like this," O'Hara said. "And that's why it's so important that we identify these people. So anybody who has information, please provide it."
Police haven't said if they're looking for additional suspects.
