Officers working the first precinct were able to act quickly when shots rang out inside the Tantrum Nightclub in the Warehouse District, arresting a suspect and taking a shooting victim to the hospital.

Authorities are not saying how the man in custody is connected to the incident.

"I came outside to have a nice night to enjoy myself and they started shooting in the club," said an unidentified woman who was inside the nightclub and talked with WCCO-TV. "Like, I can't even go outside and enjoy myself. I can't even have a good night out with some drinks without fear for my life. I am traumatized. I am done coming downtown Minneapolis, let me tell you that."

A second person also was taken to the hospital. Authorities say both victims are suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. Investigators say there was an altercation before the shots were fired. There was also gunfire reported in the parking lot outside the club.
