From real ghost tours, haunted houses, or maybe more kid-friendly options like the Tricks and Treats event at Valleyfair, Minnesota is a prime destination for those seeking all things Halloween.

"Minnesota has some great haunted attractions throughout the state," said Jake Juliot with Explore Minnesota. "We even have Anoka which is the Halloween capital of the world. We're really poised to be a great destination for Halloween experiences."

If you're looking for something scary, there's the Dead End Haunted Hayride in Wyoming and Onionhead's Revenge Haunted House at the Mall of America.

There's also a number of different ghost tours, including at the Mounds Theatre in St. Paul.

The theatre reportedly is home to a trio of ghosts.

"This is a 99 year old silent movie house in Dayton's Bluff. It was boarded up for 35 years before coming back to life in the early 2000s," Juliot said. "It's been the subject of a number of paranormal TV shows and ghost hunting investigations. The tour itself is great and lasts about an hour to an hour and a half."

In Duluth, there's the William A. Irvin ship which transforms into the Duluth Haunted Ship.

"The ship spent 40 years ferrying iron ore and coal across the Great Lakes. This is a great way to go and experience the haunted attraction where several paranormal groups have conducted investigations."

A full list of haunted attractions, including graveyards, in Minnesota can be found on the Explore Minnesota website.

Halloween is certainly the busiest time for those spooky experience seekers, but the year-round demand is growing.

"It is something that's popular throughout the year," added Juliot.
