Cash or credit? Another key question for Minnesota State Fair attendees.
More people don't carry cash these days. But at the Minnesota State Fair, when you're traveling booth-to-booth for food, beverages and more, cash still seems to be king.
For some, like Andrew, it just depends on the situation.
"I've done one of each. I tapped on the beer and I paid cash for the Poncho Dog," he says.
The overwhelming response? That is cash money, homey!
"When the money's gone, it's gone and it's time to go," said one fairgoer.
"I like cash because then I know how much. With a card you're just swiping," said another.
"Cash. It's so much safer to play cash. Cash is the best way to go," one added.
"Credit card, it just, don't do credit card, guys. Cash is the way to go for sure. Cash is king. Cash is king," explains another man.
And the main reason cash is king? For most, it's easier to tip and no surcharges which a number of vendors are adding to credit card swipes.
